3rd Annual MORC Miles for Smiles 5K
MORC, Inc. is excited to announce the 3rd Annual MORC Miles for Smiles 5k Run/Walk on Saturday, May 10th at Independence Oaks in Clarkston. MORC provides services for over 5100 men, women and children with developmental disabilities in Oakland, Macomb and Wayne counties. While their basic needs are funded there is very little funding allotted for dental care. As we know, dental issues can lead to many other health problems, especially with our vulnerable population. Everyone deserves a bright, healthy smile!
This event was started as our way to help with the costs of dental care for our special individuals with disabilities. Last year we raised over $6,500 for dental care. Our goal this year is to raise $10,000 and we need all the support we can get!
If running/walking is not feasible for you, please help by volunteering on race day or purchase a race T-shirt for $10. If you would like to register, you can do so by going to runmichigan.com (http://www.runmichigan.com/calendar/event_detail1.php?recordID=10669) or complete and return the attached registration form with your payment. There is no cost to participate in the ¼ mile event.
Sponsorship options are also available. Please contact Jennifer Lasceski at 586-416-2075 or email her at jennifer.lasceski@morcinc.org for more information.
